Ultra Limited Edition / Collaboration Nike x Louis Vuitton by Virgil Abloh
Originally designed by Nike in 1982, the Louis Vuitton "Air Force 1" are the first sneakers made outside of the Nike factory. Coming from the streetwear community, Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh (1980-2021) regarded the Nike Air Force 1 as a cultural symbol in its own right. Today, two icons merge to create the most authentic high-end sneakers. A true cultural symbol, the "Air Force 1" is elevated to the status of an art object by Virgil Abloh.
For the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, Virgil Abloh envisioned a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Nike to give birth to 9 exclusive editions of "Air Force 1" sneakers. Each model embodies the synthesis of classic codes of the original shoe, noble materials, and signature emblems of the House.
The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 “Team Royale” completes the trio of bi-colored editions reimagined by Virgil Abloh for the famous French house.
This version of the Air Force 1 Low features a white leather base, topped with blue canvas overlays. Once again, we see the omnipresence of embossed or printed monogram flowers. Also present is the Louis Vuitton branding matched with golden industrial inscriptions.
